Yuletide Stillness Prayer
May the threefold stillness of the winter solstice
follow me in the lengthening days.
In the stillness, may I know the wisdom of my ancestors,
the inspiration and healing from my deities,
the comfort of hearth and home,
the grace of peace in a frantic world,
the blessing of silence against the noise.
May darkness enfold me
that I see the beauty of poetry
hear the song of nature
know with the clarity of insight
to act rightly in the world.
May the darkness grant me joy
in the brightening days
so that I may persevere in the new year.
