A poem for the upcoming new year.

Be as a Dandelion
Let me be as a dandelion,
a downy seed head full of potential.
Gold like the sun,
may I bring warmth to the world
in kind acts and words.
Milk-white like the moon,
may I know hope radiant,
like a dozen starry wishes afloat.
Stubborn in strength,
may I be as such,
defiant leaves growing despite obstacles.
May I know softness like a gentle rain
connection with roots dug deep,
flexibility as stems in a playful breeze.
Let me be as a dandelion,
seedlings moving toward a bright future.
