A seasonal poem based on recent land events.

Mist-Mantled Woods
Mist-mantled woods
A hue that draws your eye
into its sinking depths
Sea-drenched roots
loosened as frayed threads
that reach skyward
A well-full, full of green
Life aplenty after the rains
striking a balance in extremes
Does the Sea
overflow its bounds
From Sky to Earth
To avert, to realign
in the wake of decay
laid by human hands
In the land,
upon the land,
what does the future hold, my Gods?
