The Miracle of Compassion
One early morn,
as the sun stretched its arms,
a sister visited You.
As the soul friend that You are.
You listened to their plight,
their tale meant for only Your ears.
The missed cycle,
the heavy burden within,
and the one in their heart.
You said, hugging them
it didn’t matter how it happened
or why it wasn’t to be.
Her mantle draped ‘round their shoulders,
the saint’s aid lifting their spirit,
compassion made manifest.
Through faith and a blessing
the child was gone,
without pain or birth.
Without judgment or harshness,
Your kind heart reveals
the miracle of compassion.
